Comment:
Audie Murphy is my hero, just like my Dad, Elwood Kinsel. Dad served in WWII and still suffers nightmares from his fighting the Japanese in the Philippines. I am proud to have also served in the military but could never come close to what these brave men did on the front line of battle. I never met Audie Murphy but feel that I know him. I thank God for people like my Dad and Audie Murphy who are wonderful soldiers for freedom. To Audie’s family I stand with you for our dear brother in arms, Audie Murphy. Added: October 20, 2012
Comment:
There are few heroes today that come close to the accomplishments Audie Murphy was able to accomplish. I also enjoyed him as an actor in the war movies, but not too much as a cowboy. Its a shame that a person can complete the feats that he did and die in an airplane crash. Added: October 17, 2012

I went to the Audie Murphy Memorial on Brush Mountain on Friday, October 12. The road up to it was brutal (one lane, washed out and rugged). The .7 mile walk to the site was very nice. The monument has several personal items placed at it and hundreds (probably thousands) of rocks placed all around it. The US flag and Texas flag are flown above it. I have lived here most of my life (also when he crashed), but this was the first time I went to view the memorial. I'm glad I did. This website has a great amount of information on Audie Murphy. Thanks for having it. Added: October 15, 2012 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts
