We both admire what Audie Murphy did for our country. Also still enjoy seeing his pictures on TV. For not being an actor we feel he did exceptionally well in all movies that he made. We'd like to know what ever happened to his wife and boys and how they are. Added: September 9, 2015

As a retired Army NCO I try to educate the younger folks about Audie as much as possible. Unfortunately not many of our young folks today know of him or even much about the war he served in. I have even gone so far as to name my two Australian Cattle dogs Audie and Murphy just to strike up a conversation about him when I am out and about with them. He was a great and humble man. An astonishing individual worthy of rememberance. My father who fought in that war commented in praise of Audie which was remarkable since he despised 'war' films.
