I have been an admirer of Audie Murphy since 1949. I have seen many of his movies while I am not a movie fan. I spent 9 years with the U. s. Marin Corps serving in Korea and Vietnam Nam. I woulf say that Audie Murphy was my hero and inspired me in my life. I did not know this website existed until today..It is an awesome site and well deserving! I woulf be honored to assist your efforts in your cause. Added: July 22, 2015

Viet Nam vet ., I've heard of Mr . Murphy all my life as far back as I can remember ! My father & uncles made reference about him , and I saw a couple movies about him . It wasn't until my cousin made reference of how he wanted to be just like him in S. Viet Nam ! That really opened my eyes !!! There's no comparing him to anyone , because we are all special in our own way . Yet he stands out with a group of other esoteric soldiers ! Hoo - rah ! May he and other great soldiers never be forgotten , for they left it all on the battle field !!! Yes , for YOU , and their country ! At first I only heard of Mr. Murphy thru his movies and it was only yrs later that I learned of his WW 11 exploits - a hero in movies but WHAT A HERO for real. His
death in a plane crash shows how important our number is when it comes up. Me? I would have given my right arm to have met him in the flesh when I visited Hollywood for
work.
