Comment:
My Father flew 28 B-17 missions from the 398th Army Air Corps, 601 Squadron, England. His crew painted "Shady Lady" on her nose, an example of what was later to be called "nose art." He spoke highly of Audie Murphy and how they would read, talk/discuss, and be so proud of Audie Murphy. His influence is still felt. Added: November 29, 2015
Comment:
I enjoy all of Audies' movies especially To Hell and Back. I watch them every time I find them on Television. I'm wondering if maybe we might be somehow related. Not really knowing where he's from, but my Grandmother on moms side was a Murphy. I Know Murphy is like Jones or Smith so he probably isn't. Added: November 29, 2015
Comment:
I have watched Audie Murphy since I was little. I have always loved his movies. He is a true American and a Hero. I can't tell you how many times I've seen "To Hell And Back" and just finished watching it again. America lost someone very special, and he is missed greatly. You were, are, and always will be loved ![]() Added: November 29, 2015
