Major Audie Murphy was a true HERO and it is a shame that he died so soon and before his time. My Dad was in Europe 1944-1945 end of war as a Medic US Army. I served USAF 11 Jan 1967 to Apr 1967. Then I spent from 1973 to 15 July 2008 in USAF Reserves. I was injured June 18,1969 Bien Hoa AD Vietnam and 32 years later received my Purple Heart. AUDIE MURPHY was truely an inspiration to all military personnel. Added: June 8, 2020

Having watched his movie, To Hell And Back, I didn't know him but am very proud of what he did for our country. I'm 78 now but watched the movie when it 1st came out. As the years have gone by I do make it a point to watch his movie when it comes on. I can only hope that as time goes by that people won't forget him. Hi my name's Tammy Renee East from Pendergrass Ga. I'm 50 years old & I'd just like to say I am a huge fan of Audie Murphy,I have seen almost half of his movies, I really enjoy his western movies the most . They show them on my local station, GRIT tv. I really hope that everyone can see just how much of an American hero he truly was from where I have been reading about him. I hope to be able to collect a lot of his movies on DVD real soon that way my adult children can watch them as well even after I'm gone & truly appreciate them as much as I have . I was around 1 year old when he passed away, I really wish I could have met him... Hi my name is Tom I'm from a small town in Massachusetts. I found this web site while searching for information on Audie Murphy. For the past few years I've been interested in his old movies. Me I was born in 1982 I grew up watching old westerns, and I have found that Audie was an amazing actor and today I found out hes a ww2 war hero. Absolutely amazing. what I didnt know was he died in 1971. That's to bad because he's one actor and veteran that I would have loved to met him and shake his hand.I will always injoy his movies, and never worry because theres always going to be someone who remembers him. God rest your soul Audie Murphy, and thank you for your help in liberating Europe in ww2. I wouldn't be alive today if it wasent for America stepping in and saving my grandparents from the war. Poland was saved and my grandparents came to America..Thank you and thanks to all the veterans who served in every war to protect us from evil people.. Added: June 6, 2020

Greetings to the AMRF and Terry Murphy. "Front Page Newspapers of WW2" After some time of pondering where I should placed my grandmothers WW2 scrapbook of the front pages of"The Houston Chronicle", "The Houston Post" and "The Houston Press", I have decided to give the book, dated Dec. 7, 1941 thru Dec 31, 1942 to my sweetheart, Audie Murphy. I could have given this to WW2 Museum in New Orleans, but decided to give to AMRF. I am 76, have no sons, and need to preserve this book for all to enjoy. Please contact by email!
