My trip to DC and Arlington reminded me of Audie Murphy and on my return, read up on him. I can only hope that one day, when the time is needed that another American and possibly Texan steps up in a manner of Audie Murphy and remind the world what our country is. I'm convinced that if he were alive today, he would be shaking his head in sadness. May a true man, Audie Murphy rest in peace. Thank you Mr. Murphy. Added: August 26, 2012

It wasn't until I was in my early teens,that I learned of Audie Murphy's fame as our most decorated soldier in World War II.I lost my youngest brother in Viet Nam,Sept.13th,1967,so I know the pain of war.To have a man of such valor,an American,makes me proud to be an American.America,where all is possible,where all are free,worship,work,and live as we please,due in part to men like my brother and,of course,Audie Murphy.God bless the memories,the living and the dead,and all who have served Added: August 26, 2012

I was in High school during WW2 and remember reading about Audie. That was when war was the ground soldier. I hope we all will remember him as well as the others that served in WW2 They were Great Americans. America's finest. Added: August 25, 2012

I love watching Audie Murphy's western movies. In fact I am watching his his 1962 movie, "Six Black Horses", right now. They have been playing a lot of his movies lately. I really enjoy every one I have seen. He was a great actor.
