Noone likes war but war is a necessary evil. Should USA throw away weapons of defense our countries would be destroyed by super powers who`ve no conscience. Women & men have been drafted &/or enlisted. They understand their country & rights of freedom will be destroyed unless they`re willing to participate. Today USA enjoy partial freedom because of those who`ve given lives to protect us from becoming slaves of communist nation. There are those who oppose war. There are many unenlightened individuals who condemn our military but without our brave soldier, sailor, & airforce men we would not be celebrating Christmas 2012. Where we be had Hitler conquered? Where would we be had Canada & USA refused to fight? Where would we be without our heros who willingly layed their lives on the line for future generations to know freedom and might? Yes most despise war but the truth is war must always be engaged in. It is somewhat like a duel. Turn your back and you get it in the back. Our heros should be honored, our warriors ought to be praised, our selfless soldiers remembered in the home of the true and the brave. INSPIRED by Hero Audie Murphy Added: December 18, 2012

I just wanted to stop by and say that Audie was an insperation to me and many of my generation. He was a true American hero amongst a generation of hero's. together they did nothing less than save the world. May God grant him a special place in his heavenly army and grant this generation a few hero's like him. Added: December 18, 2012

Many good memories of Audie Murphy as a child and still enjoy his movies today - at age 68!
