Always looked up to him and his memory, knew he was so decorated and enjoyed his movies. I'm 72 so I saw and read a lot of him when I was younger. I still think he was a great American and a much liked person. His life is nothing short of perfection, God bless him and take good care of him. Thank you for all of this, he surely deserves it. One of my few regrets of my 27 year army career was that I was not inducted into the Audie Murphy Club. Sigh. This is a humbling website and one about which I am exceedingly proud. I was able to meet Maj. Murphy when I was a kid at White Sands Missile Range. He was a gentleman and an icon for all NCO's to model themselves.
