Went to the Audie L Murphy / American Cotton Museum this past weekend in honor of Audie's birthday on Monday. It was really nice and I had a great time talking with the people working there. I would love to return in the near future since they told me that they had received some 7 boxes of stuff donated by the family in the past couple years and are awaiting the signed release of ownership (I guess the Museum has to have ownership for insurance purposes) so that they can display it all. Hoping that this happens soon so I can return and see it all!

Just saw "To Hell and Back" for the third time (over the yrs.) and noted Audie used to hunt at the age of twelve. Also, this movie must be shown in this country for as long as possible, and get out to as many people as possible. Great movie; great man. (from a retired public school teacher) God bless the U.S.A.
