I started watching Audie Murphy movies when I was 8. I loved him . I was 12 years old when he died. I remember hearing it on the radio, living in a small town in Az. I cried and cried all day. He truly was a Great War Hero. They don't make men like that anymore. I'm in my early 60's and it's still on my bucket list to visit his memorial. Glad your watching over America, Audie . Much respect for this man. Norma Added: May 29, 2023

MY MOTHER, MILDRED PARRIS TOMPKINS WAS BORN AND RAISED IN FARMERSVILLE, TEXAS. SHE NEVER MET AUDIE MURPHY, BUT SHE WAS BEST FRIENDS WITH A WOMAN WHOSE BROTHER MARRIED ONE OF AUDIE MURPHY'S SISTERS. I HAVE BEEN AN AVID ADMIRER OF AUDIE MURPHY SINCE I SAW HIS PICTURE AND READ ABOUT HIM IN LIFE MAGAZINE WHEN I WAS ABOUT 10 OR 12. I SAW ALL OF HIS MOVIES AND MADE A PICTURE ALBUM ABOUT HIM. HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY HERO. :D :!cool: :!cry: :!devil: :!devil: :) :D Added: May 24, 2023

I’m just here to honor the man. Audie Murphy you were one of true best of us. I’m a US Army veteran who had the pleasure to know a soldier who won the Audie Murphy Award, and I served for ten years. I hope your memory lives on, because we’ll always need folks like you: one in a million. SSG Neil McCanon- 2023 Added: May 22, 2023 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts

My husband and I admired Audie Murphy for his military service and his movies. We are watching one now on the Grit station. Audie was so special.
