Audie Murphy has been a hero of mine ever since I learned of his life and deeds, while studying to go before the 5th Infantry Division (M) Audie Murphy Club Board in 1991. I was subsequently inducted into The 5th ID(M) Audie Murphy Club, and then Later into the 3 Corps Audie Murphy Club. I still feel that his life and exploits are a shining example of what this country used to be and represent and that I hope one day it will again. R.I.P. Audie Added: May 29, 2014

I remember watching Audie Murphy's movies when I was younger. One of my boyfiends wouldn't let me watch them when he was around. He said it was because Audie so often played himself which he thought was egotistic. I think he was just jealous of someone who deserved the recognition Audie received. He was a very brave man who put his country first in his life. I was always inspired watching Audie's war movies! ![]() Added: May 29, 2014

I grew up in the 50's and 60's and have seen many of Audie's movies and I admired him for his easy going ways. Most of all I was appreciative of his war heroics which I'm sure he would not think he was a Hero as so many of his Buddies died instead of him. I can't imagine his grieve and guilt he felt for living through so many battles. GOD BLESS YOU AUDIE MURPHY!!! Added: May 28, 2014 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts
