He will always be a hero to me I many times shed a tear when I think of him. No greater texican than he I am 57 yrs old and my favorite hero since I was four. I tell the youth of his courage we must never forget him even if our republic lives a thousand years we must not allow him to be forgotten. May God bless him and the people that helped make him what he was. And God bless our great republic. Added: May 14, 2015

I'm a 4th grade Texas history teacher and we learned about Audie Murphy today. The students were fascinated to find out how young he was when he became a war hero! They also thought it was cool that he became a movie star. Glad to see his legacy will remain string through your website. Thanks! Added: May 14, 2015

Audie Murphy was a real man, a man that young men should look up to demonstrate patriotism, strong with integrity, pride, strength, of course bravery. My Father was in the Marine Corp. his name was John R. Henry, my dad reminded me a lot of Audie, I try to watch all his westerns and military movies as much as possible, Thank you Audie for my freedom because you fought so I and others couls be free, Thank you to all the Murphy family, God Bless, John Added: May 13, 2015

I knew Audie very well in California. We were good friends and saw each other regularly. I loved him very much. We were both native Texans. His death really upset me. I hope his sons are doing well!!
