Any time I can watch a movie that has Audie Murphy in it I will. He was then and to this day still my "Hero". He was young and entergetic. People saw themselves in him. He was exactly what America stood for. Loyal, honest and trustworthy. Their will never be another Audie Murphy. From one Veteran to another. RIP.. Added: February 2, 2017

I just wish more people knew more about the greatest American Hero. I remember as a kid my parents took me to see "To Hell and Back. I am a Vietnam Combat Veteran and I know what it is to be in the excitement of combat and trying to find that adrenalin rush from combat after coming home. I have not went hunting but maybe twice since 1969. there just is not any fun in that and that is one of the hardest things to make people understand, especially your child as he wants you to take him hunting. I only took him a couple of times but my father-in-law and his uncles took him. We have never been close and it has been hard to try to be close to him. The disappointment of the name call of that we heard after we got home. I know to some degree how tormented Audie Murphy must have been after the things he encountered and I just wanted to say thanks for what he and only he could have done, Added: January 30, 2017

I loved his movies and had a huge crush on him. My Mom knew his story and shared that with me. On TCM if I get to watch an Audie Murphy movie I count myself lucky.
