In my opinion the word "hero" is greatly overused these days for anybody that serves in the military. But in two cases this was not true, Audie Murphy and Alvin York, were true hero's. Perhaps not by choice but by circumstances, they both stood the test and survived. L. Murray Added: January 3, 2018

Thee most decorated and Courageous American of the second world war, a Texas Boy like myself who lost his mother as a teenager and hopped out of school in grade 8 and worked below wage and joined the US Army at 17, A street boy in those times that dedicated his life to his country and returned a few years later as the wars most decorated soldier. I have the outright most respect for this man being a Texas boy myself and knowing all his heroic actions. He returned a Hero but a broken man suffering PTSD and having many nightmares and always had a loaded Pistol under his pillow, I salute you and plan on visiting your grave in the future. ![]() Added: November 29, 2017 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts
