When he was 20 I was 7. Always enjoyed his movies not really knowing his history, but sort of knew he was a war hero. May he rest in peace.

I have always respected Audie Murphy both as a soldier and his movies. I was a US Marine. I visit his grave when going to Washington DC. And I always leave him a marine corps medal or badge.

I remembered Audie Murphy from the movies. Than as I got older I found out what an amazing Ssoldier he was. He was my movie star crush. I was just a young girl. lol Always remembered his name and soft spoken voice.

I remember as a young girl, my Momma telling me the story of Audie Murphy, she also took me to the movies to see him on the big screen. I was smitten from that moment on. As I got older, I educated myself through very few resources about this great HERO from the state of Texas of these United States. Thank GOD, he was so determined. God Bless!!
