Have been an admirer of Audie since first heard of his many successes I missed WWII by a few years (Am now 81) There have been few soldiers like Audie Murphy and the the WW11 number one SOLDIER RIP Audie

I've watched Mr. Murphy's films since I was a little girl and now that I'm a grandma, I watch them with my Grandkids!
He was such a hero! A true hero! Bless him for serving both in the military and in film.

I have watched his movies for years and never knew he was such a hero. Shame on our media for failing to commemorate such great men and instead make heros of black criminals shot by white police or * * * football players that come out.

Why is this man of men not a household name. There should be a push to have his story put into textbooks. And To Hell and Back should be required viewing in American History.

When I first saw To Hell and Back my grandmother told me if I grow up to be half the man that Audie was I did something good. Words which still stay with me 37 years later. What an amazing person and a true hero. I would like to see a remake of the movie to give this hero the exposure he deseres.
