Summary: A band of ruthless claim jumpers invade the local area and begin robbing, extorting, and killing miners who have struck it rich. Of course, there are no witnesses to bring those responsible for the crimes to justice. As luck would have it, one fast drawing gambler named Luke Cromwell manages to escape the thieves. At the same time, Marshal "Lightning" Tyrone is hot on the trail of the gang. The story takes an ominous twist after the Marshall meets the scheming girl Opal Lacy who has secret plans that aren't in the Marshall's best interest. Fortunately, Luke, alias "the Silver Kid", seeks out the murderers by teaming up with the marshal. Luke manages to find out that the marshal's girlfriend is really one of the gang and exposes her and her brother as the real killers.
