Audie Murphy Memorabilia Display |
Did you know that Willie Nelson was a fan of Audie Murphy? In fact, he has
devoted a portion of his museum which is located near Opryland in Nashville,
Tennessee to exhibit Audie Murphy memorabilia.
Like Audie Murphy, Willie Nelson is a Texan. Other similarities can be noted
including the fact that Audie Murphy was also a published song writer (see
Songs By Audie Murphy on this web site
for more information).
Some of the items on display at the Museum which belonged to Audie include
a pair of cowboy boots, a guitar, movie lobby cards, and clothing. In the
picture below, you will note that copies of some of Audie's medals are also
on display. There is also a uniform and helmet.
