Re: Audie Murphy Stamp

Dear Sir:
The citizens of the United States are working their hearts out trying to get as many signatures as they can on these Audie Murphy Stamp Petitions. The enclosed petitions are only the beginning of what is yet to come forth.

May we ask you to please review these petitions and then pass this information on to James C. Tolbert, Manager of the Stamp Department. We need your utmost support and endorsement for this most deserving veteran.

If it were not for our veterans there would be no United States for our flag to fly over the White House, our Post Offices, and all the other places who honor our great flag. They defended our country and now we need to show our appreciation through the issuance of a stamp in their honor - especially Audie Murphy.

Will you please help us.

Respectfully yours,

/------Signed------/
