The historically preserved Dothan Opera house is located right in the heart of the Dothan, Alabama downtown district. In an effort to raise money to help preserve large portions of its historical district, the city of Dothan, Alabama allowed benefactors the opporunity to purchase a commemorative brick in honor of a family member or favorite person. The historical bricks were obtained from other old buildings which could not be preserved.

Ms. Roukoski-Clark, (first name unknown) in a letter written to Stan Smith, editor (retired) of the Audie Murphy National Fan Club wrote that she "... made the decision to honor not the National Hero, nor the Hollywood Star -- but the man Audie Leon Murphy."

For those interested in visiting the Dothan Opera House, it is located at 115 North Saint Andrews Street Dothan, Alabama 36303.
