Name Location Comments
Hal Taberner, Retired Army El Sobrante, California Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Scott Allen Tackett, Sr., Disabled Vet Highland Falls, New York Please send enough material to cover the West Point Community of over 7000 Cadets and Military Personnel, all who will be very honored to sign. Perhaps all members of the Armed Forces and Veterans of the Service need to be behind this petition. One Post and one Soldier at a time, if needed. Yes, Jefferson Davis is on a US stamp, but not Audie L. Murphy
Kevin P. Tayes Copperas Cove, Texas You have cartoon characters on a commemorative stamp. Why not put this real American hero on a stamp?
Fred Taylor, Student Suffolk, Virginia Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Jeff Taylor, Fan ????, Georgia Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Lisa Taylor, College Student ????, Georgia Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Mark Theby Racine, Wisconsin An impeccable soldier, a hero...he deserves recognition. And what better way there is than a commemorative stamp!
Armand J. Therrien, Retired Air Force Newton, Mississippi I think that Audie Murphy should be honored with the full series. Let us honor him as he honored this country and the people in it.
Marina Thibau Gent, Belgium As the winner of one of my country's highest medals for valor and heroism, Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Bob Thomas, Retired Air Force Converse, Texas We can not afford to forget heroes like Audie Murphy. He is the epitomy of true grit and self sacrifice. If Bill Clinton can rise to become the President of the United States without serving one day in the military then it goes without saying that Audie Murphy should be honored with a postage stamp or two. Who has made the greater sacrifice?
James R. Thomas, Veteran (not given) Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Dale Thompson Salt Lake City, Utah Audie Murphy should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
Keith E. Thompson Hayward, California Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Ina Tompson Killeen, Texas Audie should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
Rodger Thompson Crookston, Minnesotta Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
David N. Thorp Sherrard, Illinois We need to honor more American heroes like Audie Murphy on a stamp instead of honoring Bugs Bunny.
Louisa J. Tilford Omaha, Nebraska Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Adam Tillinghast Fayetteville, North Carolina Audie should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
Sharon Faye Tinsley Uvalde, Texas Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Michael Tomjack, Patriot Hastings, Nebraska No one could be more deserving.
Hilario J. Torcedo Jr. Copperas Cove, Texas Audie should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
Vickey Torrey Saginaw, Michigan Please consider giving Audie Murphy this honor. Thank you.
Greer Hamilton Trice, Jr. Cupertino, California Mr. Postmaster General, I believe that it is a fitting tribute to the memory of Audie Murphy that the Post Office should release a stamp series with his likeness and events from his life, both military and civilian.
Jerry M. Trott Durham, North Carolina It's important that America honor all veterans, and a stamp honoring Audie Murphy does that. I think even Elvis would agree that Audie Murphy deserves a stamp more than elvis.
William B. Trout Bethesda, Maryland Mr. Runyon:
Your resistance to the issuance of a stamp or a series of stamps in memory of a man who gave his all in battle, to defend freedom four countless generations is a travesty. Mr. Murphy's efforts are an important part of history, American and otherwise. We must keep the future generations aware of the past. Maybe if we focus on informing the future generations of the past, in-depth, we could expect some long-term peace and tranquility. A significant portion of our youth in this country don't even know who the president and vice-president are, and of late, who Jackie Robinson was. How can they be expected to know who or what caused such great conflicts in the past without giving them a real appreciation of what is required to make decisions that could avoid such problems in the future. It's a good idea, it's well past the time to take action on this matter........Thank you.
Thomas E. Trowbridge, Sr. Churubusco, Indiana Sir:
Audie Murphy should be honored with a commemorative stamp collection. He was not only a national hero but someone that you could look up to and be proud of. Certainly he deserved to be honored more than drug addicts such as Elvis Presley.
David J. Trusty Alger, Ohio The greatest of veterans deserves no less than a full series of stamps.
Edna Rice Turner Jacksonville, Florida Certainly, Audie Murphy did more for this country than did Bugs Bunny.
Lori Turner (not given) Audie Murphy should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
Thomas T. Tuttle Fort Carson, Colorado You have given out commemorative stamps on movie stars, endangered species, and others. Now it is time to be a patriot of the United States and give one for America's greatest war hero. Audie Murphy is a legend ... something for the U.S. to be proud of and not forgotten about. So where is your patriotism?
