Bill O'Brien, Retired Navy Pacific Grove, California Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
James P. O'Connor, Civil Servant Lee's Summit, Missouri Distribution of a Murphy stamp would do honor and justice not only to Murphy (as a soldier) and his heroism, but to the character of all Americans who have ever contributed to our country via military service.

In these times of strictly volunteer forces, such recognition of our heroes may stimulate our young men and women to consider service.

Frankly, I'm disappointed that Murphy's contributions have never been recognized with a commemorative stamp. I've always been under the impression that he was our most decorated hero in WWII. If in fact he has not be so recognized with a stamp, I wonder why?
Joe O'Connor, Reservist, Armed Forces Howell, New Jersey In this day and age when stamps are dedicated to cartoons and individuals of questionable integrity, no better individual represents what is and has been great about this country of ours other than Audie L. Murphy. Even though his humble country boy upbringing was marked with hardship and tragedy, he never once turned his back on responsibility and family. Served his nation in time of need and earned his country's highest award for valor in battle. Never stopping to rest on his laurels, Mr. Murphy was afforded the opportunity to continue to support his family and establish a successful movie career. In this day and age we should take time out and finaly give Mr. Murphy the ultimate honor by issuing him an entire stamp series. Mr. Murphy personifies what is right with American and what can be achieved with honest, dilligent effort. I sincerely request that you do everything in your power to award this stamp series for such a worthy American.
Joe and Doris Odd Washington, Utah Audie Murphy deserves every honor he received and deserves a commemorative postage stamp.
Pat Offenberger, War Veteran Dayton, Ohio Do the right thing, have a stamp for a true hero, not for "Bugs Bunny".
Michael Olbermann, Citizen Stony Point, New York Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Henry C. Osiek, War Veteran Brentwood, Missouri Audie Murphy should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
Robert H. Osterndorff, Veteran Sauquoit, New York A medal of honor series that includes every recipient would be a nice way to thank them.
David J. Oswald (Not Given) Who got more medals? Elvis or Audie! So why can't we have a stamp for a real hero. Thank you very much.
Mark R. Othoudt, Veteran Naples, Florida Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Carolyn Owen Rensselaer, Indiana Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
John Ozanich, Veteran Durham, North Carolina Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
