Ted Kalch Portage, Indiana Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Theodore Kalch Portage, Indiana There are Generals on stamps that never got close to being a hero like Audie Murphy. But because they were Generals we stuck their faces on stamps. Let's remember a real common man--turn hero in his own right--on a series of stamps. Let's show Audie Murphy that his valor was recognized by America and is not forgotten.
Stephanie Kaplan Salt Lake City, Utah Audie Murphy should definitely be honored with a commemorative stamp.
John Kay Detroit, Michigan Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Robert E. Keegan Lake Worth, Florida I fully support this petition. I'm sure if Elvis could get on a stamp then Audie should by far have gotten one. Also, I think Audie should be considered for a US currency picture. I think he should replace Hamilton.
Jennifer Kelleher Woodlands, Texas Dear Sir,
Audie Murphy should be honored with a stamp like the rest of our nation's heroes. There are many people who do not know who he is or what he did for our country. He should be honored with a commemorative stamp at least.
Desiree Kelley Copperas Cove, Texas Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Raymond M. Kelley, Jr., Disabled Vet Granada Hills, California Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Stephen E. Kelley Copperas Cove, Texas Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Ernie Kellogg (city unknown), Texas Audie should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
Rachel Kellogg (city unknown), Texas Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Donnis Kelly (not given) Audie is a true hero and should be honored.
Marshall Kelly Dallas, Texas Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Ronald W. Kelly Picayune, Mississippi Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
William R. Kemp Middlesex, North Carolina Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series.
James R. Kennedy Salisbury Mills, New York Any man who has meant so much to America as Audie Murphy should have stamps in his honor.
John F. Kennedy, Jr. Elfers, Florida The USA should honor the great American Patriot, Audie L. Murphy, by a postal stamp in his honor.
William C. Kennedy, III (not given) Lt. Audie L. Murphy deserves this honor. His contribution to the successful liberation of Europe was inspiring, to say the least, and was instrumental in bringing the war to a successful conclusion. I think it might be a good idea to start a series of stamps to commemorate all of the Medal of Honor winners from all the wars, individually.
Susan Kerr Oak Harbor, Washington Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Sebastijan Kerse Ljubljana, Slovenija Europe Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Edward E. Kettelson Brighton, Michigan Not enough attention to Mr. Murphy. How about all Medal of Honor Winners?
Kip Keziah Fort Eustis, Virginia I think it's a shame when an overweight, pill popping Elvis can be honored with a postal stamp or a damn cartoon bunny, but one of the greatest soldiers this world has ever seen has yet to be recognized. It truly makes me sick.
Linsey Kiang (not given) Audie should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
Danielle Kiekens Gent, Belgium As the winner of one of my country's highest medals for valor and heroism, Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Jeffrey Kilcher Normal, Illinois Audie Murphy should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
Richard Wayne Kilgo Corona, California I feel it an insult to the memory of this great AMERICAN that you would not see fit to issue a commemorative or series of stamps in his honor. Mr. Murphy was and is an inspiration to true Americans and should be remembered as such!!! You should be ashamed for not recognizing the need for honoring this great individual and all other members of the most elite veterans of the United States Military Service.
J. P. Kilkenny, II, Civil Servant Port Jefferson, New York Audie Murphy should be honored on a commemorative stamp
SGM Joseph Grant King Pineville, Louisiana It is a sad state of affairs when our country will put cartoons and rock stars on commemorative postage stamps, but will not honor one who has sacrificed so much for this great country. It is time that we returned to the values that made this country great and instill those values in the upcoming generation. Let us not forget those who sacrificed so that we might enjoy the priveleges that they have fought and died for.
Ray King Essendon; Victoria, Austrailia Even though I am a distant fan from Australia, no other American has captured my imagination the way Audie Murphy has. As a child I was besotted by his charisma and as an adult I cherish his memory. I think this man was as great as Elvis Presley, if not greater, and deserves his memory to be enshrined by a stamp collection made in his honour.
Scott H. King DeRidder, Louisiana Audie Murphy was the man that I was introduced to in old periodicals during Vietnam. With all the protests and upheaval within the nation, Audie Murphy was held up as a guide or example to follow. I was only 10 years old when he died, but my grandparents made sure I knew about him and his ability to persevere in life when all odds were against him. Today I am a disabled citizen of this nation and I frequently think of Audie Murphy and what he went through in WWII. His life has given me the will to continue and try to do more even when everyone else has given up. This country needs to recognize men and women who are like Audie Murphy in order to help our youth see real hero's, a person who was willing to give all or die in order to help his fellow soldier and fellow man. Please recognize Mr. Murphy for his contribution to society and the world in the name of duty, honor, and scacrifice.
Allen W. Kirchner, M.D. Aiken, South Carolina I believe that it is vital that America honor her heroes and present her children with appropriate role models. The commemorative stamp program is an ideal means to accomplish both goals. We have had stamps honoring movie stars and cartoon characters. Why not a stamp to honor a true American hero, Audie Murphy?
Kashan Kirk Bellevue, Washington Audie Murphy is a great American hero whom we can only start to repay with actions such as this. Thank you.
Lee Kirkpatrick Mars, Pennsylvania Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Margo Cherry Kirkpatrick Fort Lauderdale, Florida You gave Bugs Bunny a stamp, why not the most awarded hero who ever fought for our country?
Erin Klugh Allison Park, Pennsylvania Audie Murphy certainly deserves a commemorative stamp, much more so than Bugs Bunny or Elvis.
Michael L. Klugh Allison Park, Pennsylvania Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
James C. Knepp, Blue Collared Worker Dillsburg, Pennsylvania Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Kenn Kollerer Rhonert Park, California I think Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
James Kolter Waco, Texas I have signed the petition for the commemorative stamp in honor of this great man and I enjoy reading all the material I can find on him.
Lieutenant Colonel & Mrs. J. Kongable Ocean Springs, Mississippi Audie Murphy is a true American hero. If we can issue stamps for cultural icons, musicians, and movies, why not a real American GI who risked his life to spread freedom in the world and made us all stand tall?
David Kornaus, Citizen East Chicago, Indiana Sir, Sergeant Alvin York, Medal of Honor, WWI, is to be commemoratived in 1998. Major Audie Murphy, WWII should also be so honored following Sergeant York. Thank you.
David Kozlouski Whitmore Lake, Michigan Audie should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
Richard Krauss Clearview City, Kansas Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series.
SSG Kenneth Kraus Belton, Texas As a soldier, Audie DESERVES to be on NOTHING LESS than a stamp to remember him by for what he was willing to give up for his country and our FREEDOM!!!
Richard Krebbs Pensacola, Florida Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Kevin Krigsvold, Citizen Norfolk, Virginia Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Kenneth Kruger Scio, New York Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
H. G. Kuykendall, Educator ????, Texas I agree that Audie Murphy should be honored by the stamp series. Most of all, our children do need a role model of high standards. There are so few.
Patrick W. Kulas Ft. Lewis, Washington Audie should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
Irene S. C. Kwok Singapore, Singapore I am not able to help with the Stamp Petition because I am stationed in Singapore in the Asia-Pacific and not in the U.S. but I think Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series.
