How does Elvis rate a stamp and not this war hero?

Being a historian/educator and a military retiree, I believe that we
should never forget anyone that has served our country faithfully. Audie
Murphy went beyond that faithfulness, as many others have, but a stamp
cannot be made for all. Therefore, Audie Murphy, the ideal serviceman
and patriot, should be our ambassador and representative. What better
way to return our country's gratitude than to honor him on a stamp. We
need to remember, NOT forget.

I believe not having an Audie Murphy stamp shows how far this country has
sunk. Elvis and Bugs Bunny, come on! Let's honor a real hero. There
aren't many left.

Inasmuch as Audie Murphy was our most decorated hero, it is more than
fitting that he should be honored. Especially since such questionable
persons as Marilyn Monroe and even Bugs Bunny were honored. We need
heroes; what better person than Audie Murphy. Your consideration is
very much appreciated.

Corporal Murphy is one of our greatest national treasures. In the wake
of the national outpouring of affection toward WWII vets, due to SAVING
PRIVATE RYAN, it is now time to recognize the honorable Audie Murphy with
a stamp series.

I have gathered names on the petition and found that many of our young
people don't know who Audie Murphy was or anything about him. What a
shame that a great American hero has not been passed down to our young
folks of today. Let's get some stamps issued; that will be a start. I'm
an old retired soldier proud of all our veterans, past and present.

Audie Murphy is this country's ultimate war hero. Why not honor him with
a stamp. You gave Elvis one.

The US government should seriously evaluate who our national heroes are
and who is not. Audie was a hero to the greatest extent. Elvis and Buggs
Bunny are not!

I had a few thoughts of the stupidity of the exclusion of Mr. Murphy, but
your comments seemed to cover them well. Mr. Postmaster, wake up and
honor the memory of those that gave so much for all of us, before it is
too late and they and their memories fade into the past.
