Joeline Jacks, Citizen Keller, Texas How does Elvis rate a stamp and not this war hero?
Ray Jackson, Retired Navy Kilgore, Texas Being a historian/educator and a military retiree, I believe that we should never forget anyone that has served our country faithfully. Audie Murphy went beyond that faithfulness, as many others have, but a stamp cannot be made for all. Therefore, Audie Murphy, the ideal serviceman and patriot, should be our ambassador and representative. What better way to return our country's gratitude than to honor him on a stamp. We need to remember, NOT forget.
Scott Jackson, Student, 12th Grade Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Audie Murphy should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
Thomas Jackson Merrimack, New Hampshire I believe not having an Audie Murphy stamp shows how far this country has sunk. Elvis and Bugs Bunny, come on! Let's honor a real hero. There aren't many left.
B. A. James (Not Given) Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
William E. Jamison, Veteran Suwanee, Georgia Inasmuch as Audie Murphy was our most decorated hero, it is more than fitting that he should be honored. Especially since such questionable persons as Marilyn Monroe and even Bugs Bunny were honored. We need heroes; what better person than Audie Murphy. Your consideration is very much appreciated.
Gloria Jankofsky, Fan Scottsdale, Arizona Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Kelsey Janssen Bangor, Pennsylvania Audie Murphy should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
Michelle Janssen, Citizen Bangor, Pennsylvania Audie Murphy should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
Jeff, Student, 8th Grade Tacoma, Washington Please honor Audie Murphy. He needs to be remembered.
Kurt W. Jefferson, Educator Columbia, Missouri Corporal Murphy is one of our greatest national treasures. In the wake of the national outpouring of affection toward WWII vets, due to SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, it is now time to recognize the honorable Audie Murphy with a stamp series.
Eric Jewell, Professor (Not Given) Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Jimmie V. Johnson St. Augustine, Florida Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Julie Johnson, Relative Phoenix, Arizona Who could possibly say no to this?
Laura Johnson, Student Salt Lake City, Utah Audie Murphy deserves to be remembered with a commemorative stamp.
Priscilla Johnson, Fan Union City, California Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
CSM Theron L. Johnson, Retired Army Killeen, Texas I have gathered names on the petition and found that many of our young people don't know who Audie Murphy was or anything about him. What a shame that a great American hero has not been passed down to our young folks of today. Let's get some stamps issued; that will be a start. I'm an old retired soldier proud of all our veterans, past and present.
James Jones, Veteran Medford, Oregon Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Judy Jones Brighton, Colorado Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Larry Dean Jones, Fan Chicago, Illinois Audie Murphy is this country's ultimate war hero. Why not honor him with a stamp. You gave Elvis one.
Patrick Jones, Fan Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania The US government should seriously evaluate who our national heroes are and who is not. Audie was a hero to the greatest extent. Elvis and Buggs Bunny are not!
R. D. Jones, Active Coast Guard Gloucester, Virginia I had a few thoughts of the stupidity of the exclusion of Mr. Murphy, but your comments seemed to cover them well. Mr. Postmaster, wake up and honor the memory of those that gave so much for all of us, before it is too late and they and their memories fade into the past.
William E. Jones, War Veteran Savannah, Georgia Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Larry Jordan, Citizen Ransom Canyon, Texas It would be great to remember Audie Murphy and a great honor to the State of Texas.
Charlie Joseph, Retired Navy (Not Given) Audie Murphy should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
David P. Jurenka, National Guard Danbury, Connecticut Audie Murphy should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
