I think that Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
However, any recognition you would be able to give would be greatly
appreciated. There are so very many young people now taking an interest
in collecting U.S. stamps these days; and lots of these folks want to
know what is the history behind each stamp. Also, Mr. Murphy was a hero
to an entire generation of Americans - many of these are still with us
today to appreciate the honor which is in your power to bestow. Thank
you for any consideration you may be able to give in this matter.
