| Scott A. Fair | Royersford, Pennsylvania | America needs a stamp of Audie Murphy. Audie Murphy's story is inspirational. This is important for the youth of America. Through integrity and gallantry, he rose above his circumstances and took responsibility for his own future. These are sentiments we need more of today. Audie Murphy DESERVES a stamp by virtue of his gallantry and service to his country. |
| Michael E. Farley | Howell, New Jersey | Honor this American, this soldier, this hero and honor the rest of us who have worn a uniform and participated in battle. |
| N. James Farrand | Hunter Army Air Field, Georgia | C'mon, we've done Elvis and Astronauts, Marilyn and just about ALL the Presidents... And remember that silly notion of a mushroom cloud commemorating VJ Day? Let's do a REAL American hero for once. ROCK OF THE MARNE!!! |
| Bob Farrell, Retiree | Venice, Florida | What finer way to commemorate Veterans than to honor the most decorated American ever. |
| Richard Faus | Portland, Oregon | Audie L. Murphy was the most decorated soldier of World War II, bar none. In honoring him with a stamp you would be honoring all who served in World War II particularly those who served in front line combat in the infantry. Recently, an individual soldier, Brigade General B. O. Davis was honored with a stamp as the first black general. Just because the 50th anniversary of World War II has passed does not mean we shouldn't continue to honor those who served. This country needs INDIVIDUAL heroes to look up to, and Lt. Murphy is one of those. Please honor him with a stamp. You won't regret it. |
| Mark Wayne Felhofer | San Antonio, Texas | It should not take an act of congress to honor once again Audie Murphy. Surely if Elvis Presley can be so honored (also a vet) why should the most decorated combat soldier not be. |
| Gary Fenn | Davenport, Iowa | Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series. |
| J. R. Ferritto | Dublin, Ohio | Audie should be honored on a commemorative stamp. |
| Janet Ferro | (not given) | Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series. |
| Bennie Feting | Goldsboro, North Carolina | JUST DO IT!!!!!!!!! |
| John J. D. Feting | Goldsboro, North Carolina | Audie should be honored on an entire stamp series. |
| Frank Fitapelli | New Port Richey, Florida | Yes, Audie Murphy should have a stamp in his memory as a great movie star and soldier |
| Gerry P. Fitzmaurice | Middlesex, United Kingdom | I think Audie Murphy should have a commemorative stamp for the great soldier and patriot he was, who risked his life many times, who was wounded three times and who still returned to his regiment, and for his Colmar campaign for which he received the Congressional Medal of Honour and all the other medals he received for courage and valor above and beyond the call of duty. If someone like Audie Murphy does not deserve a commemorative stamp I have no idea who does! |
| John Flath | Tullahoma, Tennessee | I would like to see Audie remembered with a commemorative stamp. Thank you. |
| Ron Fleischer | Windsor, Colorado |
Dear Sir, Please help us to honor and remember this great American Hero. My son has no idea who Audie Murphy was, and most Americans know nothing beyond his Hollywood career. Which is more important to the history of America...Elvis, or our most decorated war hero? No contest as far as I am concerned. Thank you very much. |
| Gailly Fleur | Gent, Belgium | As the winner of one of my country's highest medals for valor and heroism, Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series. |
| Robert E. Flyzik | Tucson, Arizona | Elvis got a stamp and Audie doesn't? |
| C.D. Foote, USMC, DAV | Austin, Texas | Please, do the right thing and honor this Heroic Veteran. And while you are at it, please honor all other heroes in a tribute series of stamps. Thank you. |
| Del Foote | Fresno, California | I know you have commemorated WWII. It was an excellent series. But why not a series on Real Heroes? Not just celebrities of entertainment. Yes, Audie was an entertainer but first of all he was an unabashed, self-less, humble war hero. We need to honor heroes like Audie, Sgt. York, and others. Or should our children be left to emulate men like Dennis Rodman 'cause he gets all the publicity? |
| Patricia Forbes | Belton, South Carolina | I think Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series. If Elvis Presley has a stamp, surely Audie Murphy should have one. He is the most decorated soldier in World War II. |
| Patrice Forest | Waltham, Massachusetts | Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series. |
| Elizabeth A. Foster | Glenmont, New York | Audie should be honored on a commemorative stamp. |
| Joy Foster | Wenatchee, Washington | Please honor this hero. It is long past due. |
| Sue Pittman Fox | Fort Worth, Texas | Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series. |
| William K. Foxworth | Florence, South Carolina | Audie should be honored on a commemorative stamp. |
| 1SG Joseph A. Foy | Fort Polk, Louisiana | A commemorative stamp or a series of stamps on Audie Murphy is in keeping with the American fighting spirit for freedom and would do America proud. |
| Ronald E. France, Citizen | Kent, Ohio | This man was one of the greatest role models of patriotism our country has ever seen, and he more than deserves this honor. Thank you. |
| Jerry Franklin | Coeur d' Alene, Idaho | Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series. |
| Jerry Fraser, Fan | Midvale, Utah | Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series. |
| Bob Frazier | Coon Rapids, Minnesota | Audieshould be honored with an entire stamp series. |
| Brian M. Frazier, Civil Servant | Oneida, New York | If we can have Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Bugs Bunny and aids on a stamp --- why not a true American hero as Audie Murphy? |
| Garvis G. Frazier | Marion, Illinois | Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series. |
| Roger Frederick, Retired Navy | Prairie Village, Kansas | I strongly recommend that a commemorative stamp be issued in honor of Audie L. Murphy, the most decorated American military service member who ever fought during World War II or any other war. Audie Murphy was the recipient of every medal of valor our country could give including the Medal of Honor and medals of valor earned from the countries of France and Belgium. Just as Life Magazine honored Mr. Murphy with the cover of their magazine on July 16, 1945, so too should the USPS honor Mr. Murphy. This honor is long overdue. |
| Jason M. Freeman | Tucson, Arizona | Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series. |
| Robert Lee French | Jerseyville, Illinois | As a Veteran and Patriot, I would be happy to help spread the word. I am president of our county genealogical society and we could possibly have this site included in our web page. Thank you for the opportunity to help honor one of our war time heroes. |
| Martha Parks Frey | Aurora, Colorado | Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series. |
| Philip Friedman | Reno, Nevada |
Mr. Murphy was the most decorated and courageous combat infantryman in the
recorded history of the United States. He deserves to be honored as such by
the United States Government and by his country. He risked his life time and
time again and asked for nothing in return. He or his family should not have
to ask, but like anything else related to government bureaucracy we must
remember that "the squeaky wheel gets the oil." So we have to speak up for
him. The only reason the USPS issues commemorative stamps is their hope that people will purchase the stamps and not use them. They have issued Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe stamps because they appeal to a large group of consumers. I am sure there are far more obscure people that have had their image on a postage stamp. In the true spirit of governmental service for an incredibly brave American no one is more worthy to be honored with his image on a United States Postal Stamp. |
| John Frye, Veteran | Taunton, Massachusetts | Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series. |
| John Fuestin | Troy, Illinois | Audie should be honored with an entire stamp series. |
| C. Fuscellaro | Erial, New Jersey | I believe that Audie Murphy deserves his own stamp series since he is the most decorated War hero ever. There are many celebrities who have commemorative stamps who have done far less for this country. |
