Doug Eaton, Veteran Lodi, California I believe that the young people today need to be reminded of those people that gave their lives and of themselves to make this a free United States of America. And what better person than Audie L. Murphy, a hero. If we can put flowers and Bugs Bunny on a stamp, why not an AMERICAN HERO?
Cathy Eaves, Reservist, Armed Forces Columbus, Mississippi Let's have a real hero as opposed to a "reel" hero on our stamps!
Brian Edgar, War Veteran San Francisco, California Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Bill Edmiston, Retired Army Susanville, California Audie Murphy should not be forgotten. Elvis was a drug addict and he has been memorialized.
James G. Edwards, Veteran San Diego, California Audie Murphy should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
Stanley E. Edwards, War Veteran Fort Wayne, Indiana Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Ronnie Edwon, War Veteran Tempe, Arizona Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Bill Egan, War Veteran McLean, Virginia For the sake of our youth and our future generations we must honor and cherish those individuals who have sacrificed for our nation. An appropriate honor would be an entire stamp series to one of the most famous of these heroes - Audie Murphy. Such an honor not only would benefit us as a nation of people who are grateful for the sacrifices of Americans who have served the country unfailingly during emergencies. It would also demonstrate to other nations that we cherish our heroes and will never forget them.
Douglas O. Ehrk Orland, California In regards to the Audie Murphy Commemorative stamp: What a wonderful idea to put this soldier on a special stamp. A soldier that won every medal that his country has to offer, and the reason this country is what it is, is because of soldiers like Audie Murphy and thousands like him. Please reconsider your decision (Elvis had one. What did he do?)
Cindy Eisenman Papillion, Nebraska Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
C. S. Steve Eitleman, Veteran Hallsville, Texas A stamp series of this great American hero is truly needed. Please. Thank you.
Edward E. Ellis Hillsboro, Ohio Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Jonathan Grant Ellis, Fan Washington, D.C. As a loyal Texan, I would like a stamp series dedicated to Mr. Murphy and one in particular highlighting his life as a Texan.
Rennee' Ellis Phoenix, Arizona Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Stephen Rafael Ellison Folcroft, Pennsylvania I can think of no other American that has served this country in a war who deserves the honor more than Audie Murphy. America needs heroes. A series of images remembering and reflecting on a real live US hero would be a testament to his legacy. Please remember Audie Murphy and all heroes that have served this country in times of war!
Joseph M. Elliss, Sr., Mason Philadelphia, Pennsylvania As an honorably discharged lance/corporal from the United States Marine Corps and a Master Mason in this great country of ours, I would like to see a stamp honoring a great American soldier like Audie Murphy and also the great many medals this brother has been awarded. Hopefully through a series of collectible U.S. Postage stamps, my two sons will begin to learn about the great men and women that served and serves these United States of America and through vigilence of men and women like Mr. Murphy my sons and grandsons yet to come will never have to see the horrors of war.
Robert J. Emmert, War Veteran Fort Myers, Florida Audie Murphy is an American Hero who deserves a stamp as much as Elvis and Bugs Bunny. I like all of your selections but Audie should maybe considered.
Betty English, Citizen ????, Wisconsin Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
William Entrekin, Active Navy FPO AE, New York I feel that if we can honor a cartoon charactor just because he is popular then we should honor one of the greatest fighting men since Alvin York. This man had done more for God and country than any one of us could ever imagine. The US public is finally, after all these years, pushing to recognize those who served their country but the USPS can't honor him in such a small way. I know I am not the only one who can see something wrong with this. Just because he wasn't a General or President doesn't mean he was less significant. This man not only fought for his country and to preserve the freedoms we take for granted but he fought for his fellow soldiers on the battlefield. Because of him many of those boys made it home alive. I feel this country owes Mr. Murphy a debt of gratitude. This could only in a small way show that but it is a start.
William A. Epler, Citizen Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Donald R. Erck, War Veteran Elk Grove, California How can a nation that honors its military history so much not issue a stamp in honor of America's most decorated soldier of WWII?
Frank A. Erwin, Fire Fighter Frederick, Maryland Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Mickey Esser, Citizen Stockton, California Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Fran Estes, Retiree Arlington, Virginia Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Ernesto Estrada, 11th Grade Student South Gate, California Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Mrs. Kimberly R. Etcheverry, Citizen Stockton, California Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Darrin Evans Glasgow, Kentucky If you are going to honor heroes of this country then an Audie Murphy stamp is a must!!!
Frank Evans, Veteran Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Audie Murphy should be honored on a commemorative stamp.
Michael E. Evans, Veteran Fort Wayne, Indiana Please help our country preserve the name and memory of the most decorated combat vet. of WWII! May his name and brave deeds be remembered forever.
Michael L. Evans, Retired Army Panama City, Florida As the attached letter notes, if Bugs Bunny can be on a US Postage stamp then Audie L. Murphy should have been on one long before this. Please correct this and let's honor this great American.
Pamela S. Evans, Patriot Panama City, Florida I have always been a fan of Audie Murphy's movies. As a wife of a retired Army NCO I have strong believes in the United States and the armed forces. I think that it is about time that Audie L. Murphy is honored with a US Postage stamp.
Sean Evans, College Student Tunersville, New Jerseys Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Sylvia Evans Wellington, Florida This man was unique. Have you seen "Saving Private Ryan"? This man not only survived this horror, but he did it in an extraordinary fashion. He then became a movie hero to many of us. I am one.
Carl Eyler Hanover, Pennsylvania Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Janie Eyrolet, Citizen Castaic, California Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
Robert M. Eyrolet, Citizen Castaic, California Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.
