I think it is funny that the USPS would honor John Lennon on a stamp and
not Murphy. Audie risked his life so the Postmaster General would have
a job and John Lennon was against war and not even from this country. I
am against war but if I was called to defend my country, I would go and

I am currently in the United States Army stationed at Fort Stewart, home
of the 3d Infantry Division since April 1996. Audie L. Murphy was part
of the Marne Division's history and myself and others are honored to
wear the same patch he did. He was the most decorated soldier in American
history. I am also a postal clerk and noticed that many people who did
less things are honored with stamps. Some people I have never heard of
before. Audie Murphy should be honored with an entire stamp series.

if for nothing else, for what he's done for our freedom in this country.
Heroism like his should not go unrewarded. He entertained us in the movies,

and Elvis Presley on a stamp, we can put someone the magnitude of Audie

very good actor. He died too early, he had many projects to do in the
