General John R. Galvin, a very respected retired General and Diplomat has endorsed the petition for Audie.
Retired General Galvin was the official Peace Envoy for President Clinton who brokered the Peace Accord in Bosnia.
He also was Dean of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University post retirement and a member of the U.S. Commision on National Secuity in the 21st Century.
Of note, something I always liked about General Galvin was in uniform he never wore all of the optional ribbons and badges as do most general officers, but instead opted to wear only two rows of his personal decorations (those rendered for heroism etc).
General Galvin is a very respected officer who also was the Supreme Commander of NATO at the time that the Berlin Wall came down, and received extensive nightly news coverage during the Peace Negotiations and signing of the Bosnian Peace Accord in retirement.
