ON Septemeber 16th The Quick Gun is being released!

ON Septemeber 20th, another 4-pack of movies is coming out, tho only one Audie movie, Kansas Raiders. Its basically a re-issue of the Classic Western Round-up Volume 1. Nothing new here.

ON October 11th, a dvd of TV Westerns Featuring Robert Redford is being released. It has several of his early western TV appearances, including the Whispering Smith episode. Nothing new here, if you have the Whispering Smith set.

Cool finds, David! The Quick Gun is probably the big news here-to judge by the cover art, it's by the same people who've been releasing Gunfight at Comanche Creek and Arizona Raiders.

Re: The Robert Redford tv collection, I have to say that "The Grudge" may not be more violent than the average tv western of the period but it is a pretty disturbing story, just because the stuff the mother and daughter get up to, at the expense of Redford and Murph's characters, is so twisted.

You are right, but still a compelling episode. As a matter of fact, it was the episode that got WS cancelled, as it was screened by congress or something like that an deemed to violent a show. That show would be on the Disney channel now-a-days.

WE HAD 7 OF AUDIE'S MOVIES RELEASED IN THE LAST YEAR, SO HOPEFULLY THE QUICK GUN WILL BE JUST THE BEGINING OF A WHOLE BUNCH MORE. THE QUALITY OF THE ARIZONA RAIDERS AND GUNFIGHT AT COMANCHE CREEK DVD RELEASES WAS SURPRISINGLY VERY GOOD, SO HOPEFULLY THIS ONE WILL BE AS WELL.

David, where did you find this? There is a DVD of The Quick Gun on Amazon already released. It has the same cover. Are they different?

I SAW IT ON MOVIES UNLIMITED (SEPT 16TH-$19.99) AND DEEPDISCOUNT.COM (Already available, too. $18.65 with free shipping). Guess some places are getting it quicker than others.

Amazon had it available for a while through their online viewing service, where basically you pay to watch the movie on your tv. Here's the page for that: http://www.amazon.com/The-Quick-Gun/dp/ ... 602&sr=8-1

Here's their page for the new dvd: http://www.amazon.com/Quick-Gun-Audie-M ... 602&sr=8-2

I think I'll give this one a miss; at least for now. I already have 4 (3 of which are Audie) that won't play on my DVD player of choice, i.e. my PC. :(
Why oh why can't they issue proper DVDs instead of this "recorded to order" junk that won't play in all players? :? They sure charge enough for the darn things :!: :x

I FINNALY FOUND THAT NEW 4-PACK WITH KANSAS RAIDERS IN WALMART TONITE. SAME GREAT QUALITY AS THE CLASSIC WESTERN ROUNDUP SAME 4-PACK. $5.00 FOR 4 MOVIES. THE ORIGINAL CLASSIC WESTERN ROUND-UP WAS $20.00, SO IF YOU DIDN'T GET THTA SET, YOU CAN GET THIS SET FOR A LOT LESS.
