Wow, today was a big day for endorsements.
General Tommy Franks, former Central Command Commander and the architect of the 'War on Terror' has endorsed the petition for Audie. I mailed the petition to him a week ago and was surprised that it was returned so expeditiously.
General Franks is a holder of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and was also knighted by Queen Elizabeth.
In retirement he holds several Board positions and is on the Board of Director's of Chuck E. Cheese.

Dave, whoah ... I thought Melvin Laird was enough for the day but then you post this one! As Melvin Laird would be on the lips of most people from our generation, Tommy Franks will get the attention of most people of this generation. DoD should pay attention now. Post this one prominently in your list of "who's-who" from this point forward!

I definantly plan to!
As a matter of fact, I plan to mention him in the text of my letter to all these reticent flag officers.
One would think they would be proud to endorse Audie, particularly if they are a retired Army general officer.
Not sure why they are so difficult.
