Someone asked to see a picture of Audie's birthday cake from Audie Days. Let me try to attach it.

Betty. Great Pictures. The lady that did the statue of Audie really did a GREAT Job. She captured
the "essence of Audie" right on target. His little curl, and his facial features and his expression at
repose. WOW. Good enough to be in the "Smithsonian". Shirley Jean.

Betty Lou: Thank you for sharing the pictures. Audie looks more like a Boy Scout than a soldier. The bust is an incredible likeness of him.

Georgana :D

The cake was chocolate and white. I ate a piece of chocolate of course, and it was DELICIOUS. Walmart made the cake and they did a great job. Wasn't a single piece left!

The statue is still in clay and will be cast later. I think she got Audie's face just perfect.

Georgana, even though I am actually a Betty Lou, I am Betty on the message board. Betty Lou is a different poster.

The picture of Audie is in the museum, and I had never seen it before. He looks like a boy scout of 12 years of age. You never would have thought he would be the most decorated soldier at the end of the war. No wonder they wanted to make him a cook!

While going through the museum I found a collage I made on display. I was really surprised and proud to find it there.
