Hello Audie Fans,
It wasn't too many years ago I was on this forum almost every night and I enjoyed talking about Audie's movies. I'm a BIG fan of his.
Once on this forum we were talking about the "big gun" used in the movie "To Hell and Back" perhaps it was the one used in the scenes where he reinacted his part on the tank and shooting for which he was awarded the Medal of Honor. Someone wanted to know where it was: Well I knew it was in Port Townsend and last week we were there. It stands guard at the entrance to Fort Flagler St. Park and I finally got a picture of it. If you would like to see it I can forward it if you let me know where.
Thanks for keeping this web site and his memory alive Mr. Rodgers. I enjoyed it many times and enjoyed talking to Audie fans.
