I went down to the mailbox this morning to put a follow up letter in the mail to General Bramlett whom I had written in April, and low and behold the postman had already come by and in the mailbox was a returned petition from General Bramlett.

The General is a very distinguished retired four star general and served as Commandant of Cadets at West Point prior to his retirement.
The General also holds the Silver Star Medal for heroism in Vietnam.

Here is his bio:

Thanks,

Good thing it got in before you sent the followup letter, Dave! My day job involves a certain amount of mailing letters, then mailing followups after a certain period of time, and it can be frustrating when one gets a response to letter #1 two hours after letter #2 has been sent to the mail bin.

Christie:

It is indeed frustrating. It has happens a couple of times to me during the petition effort.
Oh, I just posted some pics of little Audie under the General Subjects tab.
I am back from deployment now, Whew!

Thanks,

Dave

These high ranking military figures have made some great comments about Audie. Great to know they still feel this way after all these years. Good going Mr. Phillips :-bd

Betty!

Thank you and it is indeed heart warming to know that these old generals still hold Audie in high esteem, even after all these years.

Thanks again,

Dave

Dave,

I really do like the comments these retired military men put down about Audie. It really is what they think that matters as they know what it is like to be in combat and to lead men in combat. Almost to a general they have all been very impressed with Audie's military acumen.

Sharon:

I agree! There are a few stubborn elitist holdouts, but almost all that I have asked to sign, have. I am very pleased with the progress of the campaign and feel that with time (just a bit more) it will happen; under this President or his successor.

Thanks,

Dave

A great way to make a trip to the post office worthwhile. You get there, and there's another letter from a 4-star general. I'll bet these postal clerks know you by first name too. Keep them comin' Dave ...

Thanks, too funny!
Yes, I am posting another as we speak, quite impressive one as well.

Thanks,

Dave
