General James Lindsay, another retired four star general has endorsed the petition. Among his many awards are the Distinguished Service Cross, four Silver Star Medals and the four Bronze Star Medals. He was the first Commander of Special Operations Command.
On a sad note, he lost his granddaughter and great-grandson in a tragic railroad crrossing accident four years ago here in North Carolina.

Here is his bio:

His citation for the DSC is not shown on his bio. You may find it here:

Thanks,

Dave

Dave,

Another great endorsement. It is very sad that General Lindsey lost his granddaughter and great grandson in such a tragic way and I'm sure it has been difficult for all his family to cope with such a tragedy. The fact that he would take the time to sign this petition says a lot about the man and the uniform he wore.

I thought the same thing as well! That it indeed takes a remarkable man to be able to still find a moment to honor someone as great as Audie while dealing with a persoanl tragedy such as this.

Thanks,

Dave
