| Soon after the death of Audie's mother, Audie's married sister Corrine and a local church minister are trying to convince Audie to place his younger brothers and sisters in a church orphanage before state welfare authorities can take custody of them. In the end, Audie reluctantly agrees but vows to eventually bring his family back together. |
