On the second
day of June, 1945 in front of the 3rd Infantry Division, Lieutenant Audie
Murphy is ordered to report "front and center" in front of the colors to receive the
United States of America's highest military decoration for valor. Historical Note: Lieutenant Murphy, on a later date, also received three of France's highest military awards for valor. He also received Belgium's second highest award. |
