Sergeant Murphy Finds A Friend
Next Photo
After Sergeant Murphy leaves the bar in Naples, he meets a child and asks the youngster to polish his boots. The child does so although the boots do not need the shine. After paying the child, the child's sister, played by Susan Kohner, observes Sergeant Murphy's kindness and invites him to a family dinner. Because food was very scare in the war torn country of Italy, this was a distinct honor and a great gesture of friendship bestowed upon Sergeant Murphy.
