Audie Murphy Art Exhibit
by renown artist, Richard Krause

Renown and accomplished artist Richard Krause of St. Louis, Missouri has recently created a series of paintings portraying Audie Murphy. His artwork is some of the very best I have seen on Audie Murphy. Richard, as he created each painting, donated the original artwork to the Audie Murphy Research Foundation. All of the paintings have now been placed on permanent loan with the Audie Murphy / American Cotton Museum located in Greenville, Texas where they are on exhibit.

Richard hopeS that his work will inspire everyone that sees them ... particularly our children. It is also his hope that we will never forget the terrible price paid by others who secured our freedom.

Richard and the Audie Murphy Research Foundation have made these images available to the web site. The first seven are a series in the "Murphy Seven" series of paintings. The last two are other art that Richard has designed which are also beautiful in their own right. A brief description of each of the original works is seen next to each easel below. Click on each easel to view a much larger version of each painting.
