What a wonderful tribute. I have been a huge fan of Audie Murphy's films since I was a young child. A true hero.

I have always been an admirer/fan (or whatever the appropriate word is) of Audie Murphy. He was a very real normal person thrust into an extraordinary time and series of events. What he was able to do was amazing and we should all hope to do half so well in similar circumstances. To me he started being a hero before his service in the Army began. I wish that more people were aware of his life story and could learn some life lessons from it. He was a fine example of what America used to be and should be again. My thanks to him and all of the veterans, especially from World War 2, for the sacrifices they made for us. May God bless you Audie.

Audie was an awesome person. PTSD is a horrible problem that happens from men and women that go to war. Sad that he died at a young age. Love his movies.

Being a Vietnam Vet, I am interested in our Nations War Heroes and Audie Murphy tops my list. It makes me wonder how he even survived after all he had gone through and how he maintained his life after the war. He is indeed our Nations greatest hero.

I can remember watching his movies when I was young. I am 55 and when I was young I had a crush on him. When I got a little older and found out he was such an incredible hero too well that just added to my admiration. I was very sad when he died and I believe the world lost a great man.
