Audie Murphy's movie, "To Hell and Back", was an inspiration to a poor farmer's family growing up in Iowa. He made poverty less restraining and courage something always be proud of.

I am a retired Master Sergeant who served for thirty two years both in the Regular Army and also as a reservist in an Armored Battalion. I am old enough to have lived through World WarII, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam War, and conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. However I have never seen action but I do very much appreciate those who have served gallantry and made the supreme sacrifice. I have always been a great admirer of Audie L. Murphy and have seen "To Hell and Back" numerous times.
