This is a fabulous website honoring America's greatest war hero Audie Murphy. I have been a huge fan of his movies, especially the westerns, all my life. I think he was a very underrated actor and was much better than the critics would acknowledge. His movies were crowd pleasers, entertaining, and family friendly. He was a true life hero and the perfect western cowboy; smart, strong, brave, and handsome. I was so saddened when he was killed. I found it so ironic that he defied death so many times during the war and that his luck finally ran out on a mountaintop in Virginia. It is shameful that so many young people have never heard of him. I'll always remember and respect the remarkable life of Audie Murphy.

Recently read Bill Oreiley's Killing Patton book and was surprised that Audie wasn't mentioned in the Battle of the Bulge section - what a shame!

Absolutely amazing story, so very thankful for men like this that give us our freedom! My grandfather was a WWII Vet, his stories were my favorite thing growing up reading about. Mr. Murphy has been an amazing thing for me, God bless him and the USA.
