I love watching Audie Murphy movies over and over as John Wayne. Both of these men are my heros. There is never going to be another.

I am now 73 but since 10 years old have been an ardent fan of Audie Murphy. In deed I was in tears at the age of 13 when my friend's brother cut around Audie's signed picture that was my pride and joy. I still have it to this day and it has been everywhere with me. Everytime an Audie Murphy film is on, my husband would let me know. He even was attentive when I, just today, read out a short biography about Audie Murphy, and this is most unusual as he never listens to me! I think secretly he admires Audie for the Medals and citations he acquired during WWII and for his movie achievements. I am sure Audie's family are proud he was their father, grandfather, uncle and great-uncle.
Here's to commemorating Audie Murphy's Death on 28 May. You helped to give us Freedom and Joy in your Movie Career.
